Fuel Distributor Rental...

Does anyone have an operating fuel distributor I could borrow or rent to diagnose my 79? It's been in the shop a week now, and I'm not sure if the guy has been able to find an operating unit to diagnose mine. I'm in the San Diego area.
Thanks

FREE STORAGE!

Have they checked the pressures, or do they want to jump right into parts swapping?

HaHa free storage, your right. Yeah Leo, when I told him I rebuilt the F.D. he said that was the prob, I haven't heard from them since. I'm guessing he is trying to find another to try? I have no idea, I don't want to call because as Mike said, it is somewhere safe! I would like to find one that is known to work so I can bring it down there and put it on. If it still doesn't run with it on there, at least we can go from there.

Well, I'll update you on his parking situation since you probably don't know. He has a single space as he rents at a Condo Complex. Well, his non-op S4 sits in it, I have no idea where he parks his daily driver. He doesn't have a garage until the end of this month, which is when he moves from the condo. I also know how these guys at the place he has his 928 at (******** Stebel), since I also brought mine there a couple months back. Soooooooo, that next millennium crack sounds like your getting back at me for calling your rabbit a girlie car.

You know I'm just messing with you

Wasn't ******** Stebel the place the FL car Gary bought used to live at?

Best hope what they are waiting on isn't a NEW from Porsche fuel distributor, that wouldn't be very free parking.

Stebel can buy whatever part they want to test with. BB500's car is in there for a Diagnostic only (at least this is what I told him to make sure it is). If they get it running like a NIB 928 with a NIB Shiny Fuel Distributor, then good on them, We'll find BB500 a good used one somewhere else

FYI EIP, in my younger days, I did work at a VW/Porsche Dealership as a Dispatcher and actually borrowed a VW Cab one weekend. Ok, I admitted it! In my defense, I was a teenager when I did it
