Vacuum tree near MAF?

Does anyone have a diagram of the vacuum routing for the little vaccum tree near the MAF. I found my vacuum leaks and and the tree has 7 connections (3 on each side) and 1 in the front which goes to the throttle body. I am missing 2 for the sides...this is maybe my high idle issue. Anyone ever route these individually with regular vacuum rubber hose? My car is a 86.5 automatic. Thanks

OK the main feed goes to the rear of the throttle body on the driverside.
then the other 6
1 auto trans modulator
2 fuel pressure regulator on the RR fuel rail
3 EZK in the passenger footwell
4 LR fuel rail to the damper
5 LF fuel rail to the front damper
6 switching valve on the cross brace

regular rubber hose can collapse when vacuum is high so no air flows through it. Hard line vacuum tubing or "real" vacuum rated hose are the only things I use.

Hello Thank You for the responses guys. I will stick with the hard line. As far as when you listed the locations by number, is this a sequence or can you plug the 6 side brances anywhere. Or if Im standing in front of the car did you list them from left to right starting at the top of the tree??? Thanks again....what a nightmare getting to this tree..yikes

the order was what I could remember fit the lines where they will have the least bending, use some long needle nose pliers to slide the hard lines into the T

Just make sure the rear side of the TB housing has 2 vacuum line connections the one for the T line is the upper one and it is closest to the driver side for a USA car

Thank You for the help The long needle nost pliers is a good idea...never even thought of that I ordered a new tree today and went ahead and ordered all the new round intake rubber boots because mine were beat up. Any trick to the throttle body. Seems like mine is loose...I removed the round intake tube above it with the round rubber boot that slides over the the throttle body. When I touch the throttle body it is loose...what fastens it down? Good time to clean the throttle body too Thanks again!! Nel

IIRC the TB is held by the rubber boots and they both have screw clamps, its possible one is loose.

Note when fitting all of the pieces back together be aware of fitting the screw clamps so they can be reached easily from the outside of the intake if possible.
You may have to go buy a longer screwdriver or a longer 1/4in drive with a 6 or 7 mm socket to tighten the clamps, dont over tighten though just past snug is tight

Thanks again When you say the tb is held by the rubber boots,do you mean the rubber boot that came off the bottom of the one intake runner. I looked around there and saw nothing that appeared to fasten the throttle body to the engine...it kind of just sits there and when all the rubber boots are in place it no longer moves.... Would you say the vaccuum line coming from the top of the transmission is going to the right side of the tree on the top branch or second branch? Thank You Nel

The U tube has 3 rubber isolators, each is like a pair of bolts with the heads glued to a 1/4" rubber pad. One threaded end goes in the motor, the other goes through a mounting point on the U and a nut fastens it down. Throttle body mounts to U with an oring and 4 nuts on studs.

if the T is flat then it would be the left side and the one outlet closest to the rear of the car. but really just hook the lines up so they have the least bending some of the T fittings will bend use a drop alcohol on the hard plastic lines so they will slide into the T fitting easier

Thanks again I am still waiting on my parts and cant wait to get this car back together and see what else goes wrong lol. When you refer to the left you meant the driver side correct or pass? I tried everything and went to a garage to see if they can pull me up a schematic of what goes where in the tree but had no luck. Thanks for the tip with the alcohol.... I hope they stay in there nice and dont pull out like on the old tree! Thanks again Nel
