Rescued 1978 silver 928

I broke a cardinal rule and bought a car without seeing it. A friend saw it for me and said it was straight, engine ran, but like me was no no porsche expert but as i got it for pocket change off someone leaving Dubai thought whatever the problems are i can fix cheap here in Saudi Arabia where i work. I can get a mechanic or electrician for about $40 a day as long as it's tracing a fault or changing brakes etc. So it arrived, alternator not working, fixed for $10, hole in exhaust and interior completely shot. Looked up price of recovers for a seat and nearly died. Lady luck stepped in when at local Porsche garage the Manager said there is a crashed one out back, take whatever i want off it, no charge.. Complete cream leather interior, dashboard, the lot.
So my help questions are: There is an orange button in centre with EX on it, whats that for, i have 2 knobs at drivers seat, one has lights but the other knob is missing, whats that for and i am assuming the spare tyre sits in the well above the battery.
Thats all for now but as the boys at the garage progress i'll be back asking questions. I'm haveing a hard time believing the 68,000 Km but the engine sounds tight.

Other knob is probably a Speaker Fader. Like Dean says, "we need pics!"

Cool, now I know what it looks like and for $5 that's a great deal.

Passenger (ex-wife) Eject Button? Peel it off, it's the PO's work.

It's in Dubai - probably set in on max AC and broke the handles off.

The button without the knob is the trunk activating switch. It screws on and you pull up on it. They get corroded inside and the switch is bad, then the plastic ages and you are where you are now.
