What's going on with all the spam here lately? Is a firewall down?

I wish I knew. I (and other mods) are trying to stomp them as soon as we see them, but they post at a really staggering rate!

You need tougher sign up details. Those who really want to join will answer as many questions as needed, spammers won't spend any more than two minutes to sign up. Have an acceptance qualifying period where you can't post for 7 days after join up or something like that. Works for some other boards.

Reply to a verification email to registered address?

Write a short essay on why the 928 is the greatest car ever made?

Which model year the green wire goes away? and what replaces it.

A brief questionaire would do it. I think anyone who truly is a 928/Porsche enthusiast could be winnowed out from the dirt bag spammers
