My impression is that a lot of stuff is available in the EU, but isn't placed on ebay so frequently, just sold privately. MOT puts a lot of old cars for sale cheap too.

I think this is the same car i looked at some months ago...i wouldnt even give the guy $100 for it,....it was that rough!!!

but it did have one good thing going for it...it had a mint dash!!
...if someone needs a black dash...grab it!..i had the car for $300 last time...but didnt buy it...too much work to get it home..flat tires...lock nuts on the wheels with no key etc...i only took a tow dolly with me...you'll need a flat bed trailer

Sure it was a mint dash and not a dash cover/cap?

By the looks of the car condition, it has to be a dash cap or cover.

Hmmm, how bad was the rest of it? Complete? I know it looks bad in pic but your personal lookie if more believable. Are you real close to Phoenix? I'll look you up whenever we can get around to visiting my Bro in Law. Our 2 year old is the main reason for not making this long trip from San Diego.

You're absolutelly right, but the problem is I don't live in Germany, so it's almost impossible to fish for such opportunities. And somehow everything that shows up on ebay.de is 2-3 times more expensive then the same part on ebay.com

Not to mention cars...

Wow.......looks like a great deal! The car looks like it's pretty complete and would be well worth it in parts for that price. Especially that mint dash!

Too bad it wasn't closer to me.........I'd be heading over there with my trailer!

Early 80's cars part out to very little. In theory the doors are the same, but interior panels added speaker grilles in 84, and body panels rarely sell. In SoCal there have been hoods, doors, and fenders on CL for 6 months that haven't sold. What you end up with are a bunch of maybe parts with no way to test them that you have to sell as is cheap.

OTOH if you have a project car, a parts donor might be great, but don't be surprised if both cars have the same stuff bad.

hi Guys...its not a 83....that was another reason i didnt buy it...i think it was a 81-82...4.5lt , its all there...just not in one peice...intake etc was pulled off...all laying in the back of the car...the seats are shot...windows left open...in the AZ sun and rain...they dont last long...thats why i was amazed too, to see the good dash inside...."AZ- kid" looked at it too....when we were both trying to buy that 85 that was messed up in the engine
MPDano...im about 200miles south-east of PX

The trouble with parting out, is that almost everything that has any value is a PITA to ship, and while I do enjoy taking stuff apart, I don't enjoy working for McD wages. US 80 to 82 AT has none of the parts most people are willing to pay something for that aren't hard to ship, at least that I can think of, so anybody feel free to school me on the valuable parts on them?

Keep in mind its a non running car so NOTHING will be easy to test for function.

Porsche 928 S 1978 for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

What kind of seats are those? Crazy price for a '1978' S that is ex Singapore (ie rubbers suspect from the heat - we can put the plate into Vehicle information, history check and reports | CarJam and get a bit of history) and has done 90000km in the last 10 years here in NZ.

Oh wow, those are cool seats. BTW, those Zip Ties on the Air Cleaner is the deal breaker.
