FWIW the AC system along with cooling the car also cools the return fuel, you will know when you have hot fuel; The fuel pump will be running quite a bit louder.

For the hood scoop i would have reservations about doing this as there isnt really any thing to gain from it,
and the engine components will quickly begin corroding in places that you wont be able to see, as well as putting extra strain on the the ignition components for leaking leads

typically you will only see power benefits above 100mph....generally speaking.

if you are building a track car, the factory air ducts are more than sufficient for N/A induction. for blown applications, you might increase the ducting diameter, but it's hard to beat how/where the factory routed the hoses and inlets.

rear-opening hood scoops have been done in various sizes, but in my opinion they are hardly worth the effort. again, performance is hard to measure below 100 mph, so why do it? additionally, it's just damn hard to make one look "right" on a 928 hood.....this was tried by the famous one over on the other site--well, it was talked to death....don't know what became of it but making one out of stamping was very cost prohibitive (same price of adding a blower to the engine--so....go figure)

front opening scoop will ingest everything from sand and dirt to small animals and children.

most of the drag racers I know (the ones I race with) are going to rear opening with dual filter (stacked) air cleaners due to reduced engine life. (tracks with concrete crash barriers are known for collecting dirt and as the car makes a pass the engines are ingesting dirt/dust blown up by the car.....

I suggest you spend your money in other places for more hp gains---
