New Discovery

Im doubting i will get any help with this.. but its worth a try. When re-installing a battery on an 89 the digital dash should say Type-04 (had a friend verify) At least thats what mine use to say! Now it says type Type-00 and the digital dash has decided to speak its original language of German. I have stumbled upon a way to get into the diagnosis mode using the information paddle that also has never been heard of. I can scroll through many sensors and even delete the Eprom from inside the car. My question would be.. has anyone discovered this? and more importantly.. how do i return the dash to english? I think its the cause of my lean condition as it may be set for another country where fuel octane is not as high.

I saw a thread on this but can not find it (ILL keep looking)
Mine is the same way but I saw the post after I started the engine work and now I have to wait to hook things back up.
If you find it before me please post the link to the thread here.
It went something like this.

There is a tool (like a jumper)
You jump two circuits in the fuse box area and cycle through the languages to get back to english.

I have never seen my display in english yet and am very excited to.

BTW it could have been in renlist, or any of those other forums

Very interesting. Yet another facet of the 928 that resembles an F/A-18.
