'79 horn fix
Found a little boomerang looking copper shim on my floor one day. Didn't know what is was to so tossed it in the ashtray. Must have had it six months. Just before inspection, I found that the horn wasn't working and traced it to the wheel or column. Pulled the steering wheel and a light-bulb went off in the old head of mine. Soldered it back on and everything works great. Wife has been getting on to me about never throwing anything away and I never do......this is why and now has further reinforced my bad behavior!!!LOL

I think you made a good repair to the turn signal assembly.
You'll find these cars respond to a person who likes to tinker. The more attention you pay to the car, the better it gets. -And the better reception it gets at home~ [We all have this problem, trust me] Good luck! N! PS: I will say this: A $400 bill for 928 parts will go over --way-- easier if you bring home a GOOD gift within the preceding 24 hours. Bring her a full-blown $20 orchid and tell her it is just "Her" within spending $400 on your Porsche and you can generally survive the explosion! |
