Update...nothing. Its still here but I have been tied up on other things. When the weather turns a little warmer I will HAVE to finish it. Still planning on moving out west then. I did purchase a vinyl dash cover kit from Rob and his cheaper new black carpet set...why stop there right?

We're you still moving to Las Vegas or are you coming to SoCal?

Most likely Vegas because of prices BUT...I will check out some of South Cali . I doubt there is any areas though with home prices like Vegas has right now. Ideas???

Anything affordable in SoCal is not worth recommending. Las Vegas has the highest Foreclosures so finding a nice inexpensive home will be easy. I don't know much about the Employment situation there, but can't be good either.

Let me know what cities you are looking at and I can try and give you my input.

go on google, and look up porsche 928 colors. there is a full list of colors and what year they were used on the 928. there are a few obscure colors that i have never seen before. I was looking at the colors, and then searching them under google images on 928's and you could get a look at them on the car. There were a few cool colors I have also seen on other porsches, safety green, and polar blue metallic both are pretty sharp looking.

AJ, you have to read his whole thread. Color was already applied. It's worth the read too. Dean does amazing stuff for his sons 928.

yes, apparently I didnt realize there were 12 pages to the thread, i just looked at the title and ran my mouth, so disregard the first post. That color is def catchy, my X gf's dad just bought a brand new peterbilt truck and had it custom sprayed from the factory that same color. It looks real sharp in the sunlight, there is almost a gold metallic look to it. Nice choice, seats def look real sharp too.

Looking for a COOL color for my son's 1980

Look at the paint finishes on Aston Martins. they are are incredible.
If you use metallic black ( my preference)have the paint supplier add extra metallic. Its a bit harder to laydown as the metallic will want to migrate or sag but done right looks like diamonds were thrown on the car. I have an 80 in mettalic red and this morning I just trailered home an 84S in guards red. Not my favorite for a 928. These cars deserve a metallic
finish. Much classier

100% in agreement with this statement; AM's paint is spectacular when seen in person, truly unbelievable.

That green finish is outrageous. Not sure I would choose it for my car. However, the quality of your work is so high, it kind of balances out. I'd say the paint could be easily mistaken for a factory finish.

Just received the last of the half shaft rebuild parts. Hope to have these installed today.

Finally removed the ?$%#@ 2 fuel lines from the passenger side back of motor. This job is one of the hardest in my book as its just so tight in there. After 3 days and several tries...they are out.

Its been awhile since I worked on this but I'm getting back on track. My goal is to be completely done but late spring. The only interior part still needing work is the dash and I final have that under control.

Just thought I would update.

Looking good.

Your son still want to drive it?

Those fuel lines are a PITA.
I've taken to cutting them so a box wrench will fit.

Back on the ground and off the stands. Have rebuilt both rear half shafts. Installed a nice clean gas tank. All new gas rubber hoses. Just washed it for the first time in months. As soon as it dries will apply a nice coat of wax and push it back into place under the cover and out of the sun. I am close now. things left to do before start up.

Reinstall the interior.

Cover the dash and reinstall.

Clean and reinstall fuse panel.

Reinstall heater hoses.

Remount hood.

Install door locks and handles.

I'm sure theres more but right now thats it.

I LOVE Synergy Green. I was going to order a 2011 Camaro SS Convertible, and when I found out you couldn't get it in Synergy Green I decided against the purchase. Great color!!!!

Been working on the dash. Filled all cracks. Sanded. Covered with closed cell foam. Sanded. Glued the cover across the top and face only. After that part is fully dried then I will stretch the fine fit the rest. I am very pleased so far.

After many tries...I do not see how you can cover one in one day. I think it works better if you get the large flat areas glued and dried and THEN do the stretching later...but thats just me.
