interior dome lamp
On my black on black 85 928S the area around the interior dome light has warped a bit. As a result the interior dome light does not stay in very well. It also seems to me that the 2 brass points on the ends need to be in contact with the metal of the roof for a ground.
Has anyone had this problem and made a repair or modification? (without removing or replacing the headliner?) |

Maybe you can build up the hole with conductive metal tape?

You do not want the metal part of the lamp to touch the car. The lamp should have three wires that attach to it, two grounds and a hot if i remember correctly. Ground is applied on one wire when the door is opened, and constant on the other. You will want to disconnect the bttry or pull the fuse when you work on it, as the positive is always hot.
