Door Lock mechanism
 

Wow so this would seem so damn simple, but it's not. I am restoring the interior to my 1982 928 S Competition Package, and I am currently working the passengers side door card. I have it all detached except for the pivoting manual door lock. How do I go about removing this without breaking it?

Pry out the door lock knob center cap with a small screwdriver, then remove the phillips screw that holds the knob. Once the knob is off, you will see two notches in the larger bezel, use these to unscrew the bezel from the lock mechanism (counter-clockwise). The door card can then be removed.
