I am definatly going to replace regulators and dampers, I dont seem to trust them at being 26 years old. Im hoping between the two replacements, I will be done with drivability problems.

its good you found another issue with the distributor any idea how the tabs got bent??

The tabs actually dont appear bent, the shaft is running off center quite a bit and intermittantly will spin freely. I havent taken it apart yet to see but im guessing spun elongated bushing.
