Northern Virginia???

I may be moving in a few months to the northern Virginia/DC area. Is there anyone out there living in the area? Do you have to smog test a car there? Is there anything I need to know about owning an 928 in that area?

Thanks,
Robert

Park it inside during the winter?

We have an Emissions test it will have to pass, but that's not really a big deal if your Cat is good. The good news is that the annual 928 Frenzy is held in Northern VA and is one of the best 928 gatherings in the country. The cult is thriving here, and Greg Nichols is a NOVA resident, so there is a lot of good help locally.

Cool! Thanks! My cat is good. Need to fix a small exhaust leak. Lights work, horn works, all that good stuff works. Been contemplating selling the car if there was going to be a crazy emissions requirement to pass. W/it being a 5-speed I shudder at the thought of it being my commuter, but my TDI is a 5-speed as well...

Thanks again for the insight!

Robert

Then you should be fine.

Depends where you are commuting to, and where you will live. We also have an excellent Subway system which I enjoyed using going to Capital Hill every day, and saved a lot of needless wear and tear........which can then be allocated to track days at Summit Point about an hour or so away.

I've probably missed it, but when is the 928 Frenzy held in northern Virginia? I would love to attend next time, as I live in SE Virginia near Blacksburg. I've gone to a few of the 928 meets put on by 928 Specialists and its always a blast to see that many 928 in one place.
Thanks, milspam

Frenzy is Oct 2nd this year near Dulles Airport. Do a google search on 928 Frenzy and that should pull up the website
