Splitter on ebay

|
My rule is things that low to the ground need to be flexible.
|
Good Stuff...the guy making and selling them is a long standing Rennlisrt member. There is a nice thread on Renny about them.
|
Very nice, but I agree, needs to be flexible:p

Seriously? An Aluminum Panel this low to the ground? Idea is good, material not so good in my opinion. Unless to decapitate cleanly all ground squirrels?

I think that it would be difficult to make a splitter out of flexible material. the idea of the splitter is keep the air from rolling under the car. so the pressure under the car must be lower than that in front of the car or the wouldn't tend to move down. so with a pressure differential across the two sides of the splitter is would flex down and be more likely to catch on the road if it where not rigid. especially if you are trying to keep the thickness of the splitter to a minimum, to do the best possible job of catching the most air above it without reducing ground clearance and further.

will this fit a '79 Non "S"? if not, what modifications would it need to fit the 79?

"Bob" I think I know who you are and I do appreciate the help and your enthusiasm, but your posting of my listings is inappropriate and I think gives people the impression that it is me and it is not.I was not a member of this forum until today when I received some e-mails about this and other posts by you.I prefer to do my own marketing and do not want to tick off the fine Pelican people.
I feel your intensions were good and I thank you for the effort but please stop and remove. Thanks, Ed |
Again sorry man
