Will a dead tank pump prevent a 928 from running?
I had a tank pump die before that prevented the car from running.

Only if it's clogged will an in-tank pump keep you car from running, or your main pump is bad too. I ran without an in-tank pump for about a year, but I removed all the pump parts and it was basically a screw on tube.

My GTS would run out of fuel at WOT, but it ran. I guess it's conceivable that the external pump may not pull enough fuel through the turbine blades of the internal pump that a car may not run.
