Painted front & rear calipers

Been trying to finish up a few more things on the 928 and painting the calipers was one one of them. We had a nice day today so here goes.
I picked up the Dupli-color caliper painting kit along with a rattle can (thanks Leo....) of the same black satin caliper paint (it's understated but people can see it) that is supplied in the box but that is a brush on paint.

Below is the front pass wheel:

Front pass wheel removed:

Everything was then cleaned (supplied solvent w/brushing action). While I had the tires off I completely cleaned the rims; both outside & inside (what a difference!) and replaced the front pads and sensors. The tires were then dressed with Griots Garage (great products by the way) rubber and vinyl conditioner. I then cleaned and painted the lug nuts and caliper clips with the black satin caliper paint:

I painted the calipers, rotor hub and the dust shield with the paint. the new pads & sensor were loaded and the calipers reattached and the clean tire/rim was mounted:

Here is a close up of a finished rear caliper and painted hub (what a difference):

Here is a completed side view (not the best clarity....):

The side view photo doesn't show any detail but these really came out nice and really dress the wheel up; like I said it's inderstated but the results are fantastic.. Up close they look phenomenal. The kit was $18.00 and the can of caliper paint was another $7.00. I would most definitely recommend the spray method. I also picked up two more cans of caliper cleaner spray at $3.99 ea. So, for around 30 bucks and some elbow grease I would highly recommend doing this. The car just looks better..........

Very nice!

And that does take a lot of elbow grease.
