17's are great when 18's are awesome. 17's will give you a better stock ride feel when 18's can be very rough on non-highways roads. First figure on what size rims, then we can help you. Way too many variables.
I think the Porsche Turbo Twists or Lightweights are awesome rims to look at. ![]()

I have 19's... would seriously reccomend 17's. The 5 x 130 bolt pattern is standard Porsche. The offsett is unique though. Take carefull note of that or you will get wheel rub.

Here you go. the Offets for my situation is posted in this thread. There is an Excel Spreadsheet that let's you plug in different offsets and rim size and it will tell you whether it will rub or not. I just don't happen to have that spreadsheet though, sorry.

The Turbo twists. look awsome on the 928, on almost any model year. (S4 and up in my opinion looks the best)

That's for mostly stock 911 wheels: front wheels for a 996/997 stick out too far: gotta be customized to keep from knocking/damaging your fenders, esp. if you're lowered. All rear's fit ok, it's the front that's the problem.
New shocks, good springs, factory ride height: you'll be ok but i'll look like a 4x4 928. Custom is best. PS: I have a CAD drawing of the 928 front/rear fender wells to measure if an offset will fit or not: ping me & I can check the wheel for you by plugging it into my program. Mark ![]() ![]()
