Interior/Upholsterior in Washington State. Anyone have recommendations?

Hello all,

Anyone know of an interior guy (or girl) in the Seattle-Tacoma area who does quality work on interior and upholstery for a reasonable price? My 86 928S interior has seen better days, but I think most of it is salvageable. The carpet is faded, the rear quarter trim needs to be redone, as well as the rear seats, door panels, and most importantly, the dash. I would like to restore this interior to as close to its original opulence as possible, but don't want to break the bank doing it.

As a side-question, if I end up replacing door panels and rear quarter interior panels, can I use pieces from other years, either later model or older (77-90)? Are the interior parts interchangeable?

The only two places that seem to do a consistently good job, especially on seats, are Rob Budd and Paul Champagne.

Classic 9 Leather Shop Porsche Interior Restoration Automobile Reupholstery Craftsman

I've looked for some time locally, SoCal, and haven't seen much that didn't in my opinion have some serious flaws. Most work is so obviously not factory quality, or maybe factory techniques, that its just sad to see the money wasted.

Thanks for the info! I went to Paul's site, but didn't see any references to upholstery work. Looks like he sells DVDS's. Does he not advertise for upholstery work?

Yeah, Pauls site is hard to navigate unless you got a good link like Neil is giving you.

I heard back from Paul, and not only is he based out of Texas, he is also booked for the rest of the year, and part of next. Thanks for the info, guys. The quest for a local upholster continues.
