Brakepad warning light

Its a 1982 928 with pad warning lights that need troubleshooting

"Hey erwin928, I have found that it helps to sort out a warning light issue if you begin by making sure that your Central Warning Unit is working properly. Since you are chasing down a brake pad warning light - first jumper Pin 19 and 20 of the SW output plug on the CWU. This will simulate a complete external brake pad sensing loop and the brake pad warning light should be out. The CWU is located under the small boxed panel beside the driver’s left foot.

Once the correct operation of the CWU has been verified - it is a simple matter to determine which of the individual brake pad circuits is bad. You will probably find that as various brands of brake pads were installed over the years, one or more of the connections that make up the series loop (out of and then back into the CWU) has been poorly connected, jumpered, spliced or twisted together.

Good Luck, Michael "

Thanks Michael, so i found the CWU under the left foot rest but there are two connectors, one yellow and one black. Which is the output plug on the CWU??
Its killing me that it has taken this much time to take care of my garage queen:-(

any further help would be appreciated
Love the forem

I just grounded all my sensors as I always visually check my pads regularly anyways. The PO grounded the fronts and I ended up grounding the back, but the warning light stayed on. I redid the PO grounding effort on the fronts and that cured it. Cleaned up the corrosion and all was good.

I bridged the circuit at the connector. Grounding worked too? huh

I guess my wording sounds kinda wrong. Where the Sensors connect to the wiring connectors, I "bridged" them and just removed or tied up the sensors. I used the grounding word as bridging them.
