Power seat problem
I have an 87 S4 and I installed a new switch on the passenger seat for the rear height and back tilt adjustment and when I plugged the seat in and tried out the new switch and nothing happened, no movement or sound. The other switch for the front height and forward/back adjustment works. I'm guessing the motor for the rear functions is bad? Any other possibilities?

there are a few relays under the seat one may be burned up pul each one and smell for burning then check each one for operation

I didn't know there are relays under the seat. Where are they, what do they look like?

remove the seat bolts then flip the seat out onto a blanket then look under the seat for the relay panel they look like relays
|
No relays under the seat.

I know the S4 seats I bought from DanglerB didn't have anything that looked like relays. Just a connector and the Motors.
It was a couple years back so I didn't think I saw any Relays. |
They're stock S4 seats.
If it was a bad relay wouldn't everything be dead or are there individual relays for front and rear controls? I think there's something called a power seat relay module. Can anybody confirm this and describe what it looks like and where it's located? |
