driver's mirror popped off

whilt driving home, I hit a bump and my drivers mirror popped off the base.
I can't see anything that broke, but I do see a metal sleeve, that the wires are run into.
The parts manual was a little confusing.

well there is a chance your mirror is still good, in your second picture the screw is showing that is on the inside of the mirror base,, under that screw is a spring, the screw may of just backed off,,, the wiring harness will prevent you from reassembling this mirror,,, so you need to remove it.... you will start by prying the glass off the retaining plate,, it is held on by three clips .one in the middle of the right side of the glass and two on the left side of the glass once you have the mirror glass off it is connected by the heating wires, no need to disconnect just let it hang to the side... next get an 8mm socket and remove three screws that hold on the mirror motor,, that the black rubber part ...with those screws out you can disconnect the plastic plug connecting the motor to the harness,,,, now you will need a pin removal tool and remove the six wires from the plug at the end of the harness,, the removal toll is easy to use,,, you slide it in over the pin and the pin will slide out of the back of the plug,, make notes on which wires come out of each hole,,, there are distinct marks on the plug to help you,,, after you remove wires from plug slide them out of mirror in a group ,, there is no extra room.... next take base off door with the one allen head srew in door, and slide wires out of it also,,, now if your mirror is not stripped out on the inside you can screw it back together and reinstall wiring through mirror and reassemble, the screw inside mirror is a torx like a 50 or something similar,,, great force to push up the spring while screwing together is needed,,, good luck you will be a better man when done

use a half inch drive impact gun,,, that will do it,,, if you dont have one stop in a garage with your mirror and ask someone to do it it only takes a second

also take the spring out and make sure its not stripped inside or the bolt is broken... if it screws together then proceed to a garage and ask someone to put it on with an impact gun and that bolt is not a torx head , its a similar style with more points

fitting this bolt to the mirror is better done with a helper to hold the mirror while you push the bolt into the head and turn it
I wouldnt use a impact gun but rather a ratchet and a 6 inch extension,
the extension will fit neatly into the bolt head if you have removed the wires.
If the wires are still attached try spreading them to the sides of the extension then fit it into the bolt..
NOTE if it looks like the threads are stripped then you have one try to do this before the mirror head has to be replaced

I had to splice my drivers mirror connection back together
Even with the wire pin removal tool i was not able to get the pins out of the round plastic wire connector

I did mark the wire colors, however after reconnecting my drivers mirror works perfectly, but the passenger stopped working.

I am wondering if I wired something incorrectly

Is there any way to test the passenger mirror?
