Sweet Geesus! Video of some high rpm revs is in order ;)

that's the beauty of boost: you don't need high RPM's. A mid-size turbo gives you a 3,000 power band (minimum), peak torque & plently of HP. My Front-mounted intercooler is efficient up to 800hp or so, so since we're well under that & since it's a low boost application, the IC will be much more efficient than in a high-boost application.

High boost: cooling from 250-300 degrees down near ambient.
Low boost: cooling from 150-180 degrees down near ambient: less work to do, less heat flowing into the radiator.

What's a scramble boost button? It sounds like something I want on my 951. Anything with "boost" and "button" sounds like I need it.

Hey Pete.

Using a normal wastegate (Tial for example), you purchase a boost controller (AEM True Boost, Greddy Profec, etc) that's equipped with the scramble boost. Purchase a suitable spring-loaded button, and hook them up. I used the Sparco buttons on my OMP wheel & used a coiled cable to connect to ground & to my Scramble boost input on my boost controller.

Basically, you set a high & low boost setting. You run on low boost most of the time, but if you hit the scramble boost button, it immediately sets u up on high boost for a preset amount of time (10, 15, 20 seconds for example). Once the clock runs out, it defaults back to the low boost mode. THis is great for passing people on straight lengths of track.
