928 purchase VS fuel pump issue
just picked up my 2nd 928, 1980 black on black ( arrives tuesday ) pictures to follow.
i paid 600 for it, seems pretty clean, always garaged, no rust, just needs interior attention The guy i got it from said he thinks it needed a fuel pump because something happened and it leaked all the coolant out ? seemed odd, but is this at all a symptom of fuel pump issue? i believed it had coolant in the radiator still, but it leaked out from somewhere else. the car turns over, but won't start.

... that would be like saying, "the car has an electrical issue, so it leaked out all the engine oil." Just another PO that has no idea. The good thing is that you have like year 928's. Troubleshooting should be a breeze by switching stuff around between both cars.

when i talked to him, he said he got it running for a sec, but I think he is mistaken. He put a battery in, and it turns, just not full start.

I would do a LOT of inspecting prior to, seeing if it will start.
