injector size
I was wondering what are some of you guys' opinions on injector sizes for a naturally aspirated 1987 S4. I have autothority chips, x pipe, rear muffler bypass and Adj. fuel pressure regulator ...i am guessing producing 350-375 flywheel horsepower. This should put me in the 30lb/hr injector rate. Has anyone played around with injector sizes and if so, what were your results? I have a set of 33lb bosch Gen 3 injectors(blueprinted and flow matched) to put in but was afraid of flooding out the engine with these. ? Any ideas?

Injectors have to be matched to the MAF by the coding in the chips.
The Authority chips likely give you no more than factory HP, they only had serious gains for 85/86 models. To use larger injectors, at no benefit, you would need to burn a set of custom chips, such as with a SharkTuner. |

injectors
my car still has a rough idle and an intermittent miss.. i am going to replace the coils but also have to orig. injectors in my car. I was wondering what effect new injectors would have...from what i have seen everyone says the newer generation injectors seem to smooth out the idle.
Also, I must admit my car seems stronger with the Autothority chips in it, but that is just the seat of the pants...no access to a dyno ![]() Blew a radiator hose today...(well really just a pinhole leak but...) Things just have not been going my way with the car lately
