Anybody here from South Dakota and looking for a REALLY cheap GTS?

I have no affiliation with the car other than seeing it today on Craigslist (in LA!) but if someone wants to take a chance on a $11K '93 GTS with a scary sounding "Certificate of Destruction" title, here's your chance!

93 PORSCHE 928 GTS LOW MILES

Good luck!
-Michael

Says theft recovery, but a 928 remains one of the most difficult cars to steal, and that one looks like its been wet, so what exactly do they think is going to be recoverable?

That car has been offered for sale a couple of times previously. Don't know if it is a scam or is in really bad shape, hence the low price? Being on the LA Craig's list for sale out of the Dakota's with a certificate of destruction title has a few warnings in and of itself....

vin is WP0AA2927PS820138 . Google and you will find discussions about it from previous attempts to sell it with more detail on history. Regardless of price, this will not be an inexpensive 928 to own.

The digital dashes have both MPH and KPH. Either is accessable with just a flick of the wrist on the left bottom stalk. I switch mine inadvertantly sometimes when I double clutch on that stalk.

Man, that car is gonna need a lot of love ($$$$)

I'd take it on, but just not as an $11K Project.

Running is not a special sign of goodness. Many times these cars should NOT be started before a fair amount of "wake up" and checking is done.

Whats the crank endplay?

Does the engine turn easily with a breaker bar?

What shape is the timing belt system in?

Compression test, then think about starting it.

Wow do I hate to see the ones that say, runs with starting fluid, like that is a good thing and not a big warning.

For about $ 14,000 more, you can have a nice 93 GTS, Amazon Green 5spd on ebay that has a good past, up to date maintenance, and you can register it. I would take a pass on this one .02 77Tony
