You are incorrect (you may be correct that it is an 89 manual however). The GT was produced from 1989-1991.

yes and no. The 89 was the only year that had the GT Script. Alll 928's with manuals after 88 were called GT's but to the best of my knowledge only the 89 had the GT script.

I have no idea what that means re: GT Script. The GT was introduced mid-model year 1989 without PSD or airbags. In 1989 there were both S4 and GT models with manual transmission. In 1990-91 it is correct that the only manual 928 was a GT.

My 1991 manual looks just like that with the same GT on it but the 90-91 manual is different as PSD was added along with airbags for 1990 and some other changes for 1991 which is why I am asking for specific year. Makes a difference; if the manual mentions Airbags or PSD then it is a 1990 model year, not 1989.

Here is a 1991 GT with that script (and tempting car to buy!): 1991 Porsche 928 GT - $22,225 | middletown, NY | Radio is Blaupunkt Long Beach. Excellent survior car, excluding...

My manual includes both the PSD and Airbags. Again it's dated 6/90. I was under the impression that only the 89's had the GT Script ( the GT in place of the S4) after the 928 as on the photo link you showed. Guess I stand corrected although the only one's I saw with those were 89 Models. I have seen several 90 928S4's that had manual transmissions. Maybe they were conversions but I doubt it. The one for sale looks nice.

You are correct on all counts, Mickster.
Also, I'm fairly certain that there isn't an 89GT "owners manual"...at least not for North America. My 89GT has the S4 "owners manual".
Remember, in '89 the GT "package" was an option...with it's own specific option code #639. It was not yet officially it's own "model". As you pointed out, beginning in 1990 ALL manuals were designated as GT's and hence the need for a "model" specific owners manual.
The 89GT is unique in many other ways...but that is another discussion.

The "script" was an option and is not present on all 89GT's.
