Rear spoiler hinges

Silly, silly me. I bought a rear spoiler for my '82 on eBay after having trouble locating one elsewhere. Certainly the price was right. But the fit was wrong. So much for universality....

I'm hoping that someone can provide me with a drawing of the required hinge so I can make my own. (I am assuming that the ones attached to my bargain-buy will be toast after I get them off.) Crikeys, I'd buy new ones but that would be a $1000+ I have also checked for these in the used department but no luck. (Of course, I am just silly enough to be looking in the wrong places. You should see some of my old girl friends. You'd understand my problem!)

As an alternative, I'd be happy to entertain prices should you have a pair.

Here's what I bought and what I'm after.

And thanks a million to everyone.

Please don't put that on your car.

I don't know how your going to mount that unless you go through the glass. The normal S4 spoiler mounts are much wider (on the hatch). If you use the bottom of the hatch you may hit it wiper or latch mechanisms, plus it will put the wing at the wrong angle. Put it back on e-bay and buy one for a 928. "Universal" 99% of the time won't apply to a 928. ..actually it may work on the roof

in agreement with stepson. do not put that on your car unless you legally change your name to paul walker... only spoilers that should be on the car are the S, and S4 spoilers and after putting one on my car, I kind of regret it and think the stock 928, no spoiler is the best look... not sure how long you've had your car for, but IMHO i would chill with it, hang out on this message board for a few and your 928 opinions will def change once you start talking to some people who have been around the cars for a while....

if you want that spoiler sell the 928 and buy a vega or pinto i promise no one will laugh at you

Surprisingly the 928 looks pretty good without any rear spoilers, buy a new set of shocks with the money i just saved you, plus no one will laugh at you

Too funny

Thank you every one for the input--and the many chuckles! Although I say this through gritted teeth and a great deal of difficulty seeing the keys through the tears...

OK, I am convinced. I will hold out for the real deal.

As for letting the car grow on me, luckily that stage has come and gone. And so I shall keep searching.

Oh yeah, I guess that rules out any of these *****in' hood scoops, too, then...

Just kidding. Please don't ban me.

Don't worry, this isn't Rennlist - we have a sense of humor!
