1988 S4 For Sale
Selling my late partner's 928 S4. It is a red over black and tan car. The body/paint is in very good condition, the interior is in very good condition, and it has a strong running engine. The 4 speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. I did not notice any fluid leaks under the car (it has been sitting since last fall). It has just under 105K on the odometer, which is not considered particularly high mileage for these cars. I would describe it as a good daily driver. The bad - needs a rebuilt torque tube - the bearings are bad. Estimate to fix is approximately $1300 in labor, plus parts, ranging from $500 (928 Intl) to $1000 from Constantine. Very nice car indeed. its a shame you cant find them in this good of condition for the price in california. people want up to 12k for not so well treated OB's

Cheap I can live with, cheap and in nice condition is disturbing. Its no fun to look at a car and realize its cheaper to buy it than to fix the one you have.

The torque tube is not hard to swap out. I'm surprised no one has taken you under their wing in the PA area and had a beer and torque tube party.

Thank you. But I am selling it for my late partner's wife. If we don't get any takers (and there are a few about ready to pull the trigger) I will buy it and take care of it. Actually, the more I drive it, the more I want it!!!!
