Cayenne wheels on a 928?
 

I know it's been discussed but I don't recall a definite answer if they are a bolt on replacement.

I've been watching this C/L ad. Started close to $1,000 and has been dropping every week. Down to $350 now and I'm thinking I can get them even cheaper than that.

Seems like a good deal if those Potenzas really have 70% tread left. The wheels look sharp and I'm thinking these would be nice to swap out every so often for a different look.
Another concern would be the 205/50-17 on the front, yet they don't look all that narrow in the pictures?

Unfortunately no. I was going to call tomorrow and see if he'd allow me to test fit them. The tires alone run over $250 each new and have great reviews.

I'll keep telling myself the wheels probably would have been too heavy for a 928. :)

The wheels are apparently pretty heavy, but they're also a good offset for the 928 (ET60 IIRC for Cayenne wheels).

Yeah, the offset fits well, but you cannot use the tires as they will rub (too big). Xlot is correct, they weigh a lot since they need to be stronger coming from an SUV. They do look nice though.

Unless the offset is way off I don't think they'd rub? I used a comparison calculator and the front radius is within .1" of the factory stock tires and about 1" narrower. My 235/35-19s are within .3" of stock and of course much wider with no rubbing issues.

The rears were a 245 but I can't remember the profile. I think it was 45 which would also be within .2" of my 265/30-19.

I have Cayenne Wheels on my 87. They are not the same rims shown above, but they fit with no issues. Fronts are 225/40-18 and Rears are 265/35-18

Very nice looking. Appears Cayenne wheels are another direct fit choice for the 928.
Actually they look more at home on a car than an SUV which is probably why I rarely see a stock set of wheels on a Cayenne.

I'll add another that says they weigh a TON. You'd probably be better of going with Panamera wheels. Even the 17s I had on my wife's Cayenne when we owned it were heavy beasts.

Wow its amazing how different those wheels look on our cars. I wonder if they are cast. I believe the Panamera wheels are forged and lighter in weight than any wheel available for the Cayenne (Stock).
