928 Brakes
So I'm doing brakes on the 928 and I want to verify what I'm being told by the parts people.
Because the front brakes have 4 pistons per caliper, with two different sized pistons, a rebuild kit for the cylinders is about $62 for one size and $47 for the other size, over $100 per caliper. Does that sound right? Same for the rear except only 2 pistons per caliper. Gets pricey when you throw in SS lines, new sensors and stuff. ![]() Tomy

I never rebuilt mine but that sounds about right from what I have read. Those are Brembo Calipers so your gonna pay a premium to rebuild them.

I'm fairly sure the rears are 4 pistons per too. Also the fronts have different size pistons year to year as well. basically a 86.5 front caliper has different pistons than say an 89.

If the "parts people" are one of the half dozen knowledgeable 928 suppliers you should have no issues, otherwise, best of luck on your adventure.
