79 euro, with pasha interior..

Just saw this on ebay, it is real close to my house, fifteen minutes. I want to go check her out.

the interior looks to be olive green, / pasha, which i have only seen one other time ..

I am a sucker for those interiors.. What do we think

The problem is that the base of the front seats is no Pascha. To get the material to recover, you have to get it through Germany and it will probably cost as much as that car will cost.

I really like all the not red/black/white unusual colors, so it would be nice to see that one saved. I think I would look REAL hard at the paint, and that is about it, figure almost everything else will need restoration. Fabric gets very weak when it ages and dries out, so I would not hold out much hope of saving the pasha that is in it, but you won't know for sure until its messed with a bunch.

He had it for 10 years and never got it running. What does that tell you?

it was also hit in the rear, and by the looks of it, pretty hard. Be careful of unibody damage. For the right price, this may be worth a save though.

It has a nice low vin number, which by the way, and this may matter to some, is a 1978 car and not a '79. To me, that makes it potentially more valuable. The color, the low vin, the first year status, go for it. See if you can repair the engine in a rebuild, if not, used engines are pretty cheap.

actually, the vin isn't that low - 1941 (I fisrt read it as 194 - I'm upsidedown dyslexic). Anyway, it's still a '78 car, and worth saving as an early example with a nice color combo.

The seller said he doesnt like Porsches. Apparently he doesn't like perspective 928 buyers either!

If it doesn't run and with those miles, he will not get anywhere close to $3500. $800 is more likely. I would tell him that and just wait for him to call in a month.

800 is exactly what I was thinking. People who have not been around these cars just see the porsche emblem, knew it was a drug dealers car, prob thinks it's worth a fortune... I told him his price was steep... i will keep the updates coming

Yup, $800-900 is what I see. CIS is not hard to get running. It's just different.

Some contact him and offer $500 cash, talk some sense to him. It has to be towed..
But it looks like it was cared for, the intake manifold is very clean. Looks like it was off.
I wonder if the seller has tried to get it running and knows something he is not sharing.

11hrs and value should be obvious if the auction isn't ended early. About a zero chance it will meet the sellers reserve.

The picture presentation isn't helping his cause either.
Probably bad compression with those miles.
I do like the 70s green color combo though.
