LED Upgrade
Installed Jaeger's LED upgrade for the dash lights. Chose blue and love it. Much brighter. Now I can see the gauges at night. I also ordered the dimmer switch for the LEDs. I found that(at least for the blue color) did not need it. Waste of money. A pic.

Looks great! I did mine in red LED's. Now you will want to use blue LED's in your console and shifter.....:)

how tough to install

Well you have to remove the instrument cluster first. I have gotten so good at that, that it was the easy part. Really, the only trouble I had was that the LED's come with a plug you insert in the existing bulb holder and on two of the holders they didn't make good contact. Thank goodness I tested the lights before putting the instrument cluster back in(I actually read the instructions he,he). I had to bend the metal in the bulb holders to make good contact. It took several tries. I used my VOM for continuity checks until I finally got good contact for all bulb holders. But I am so happy with the results. I now look for trips to take at night.

Looks great. I am thinking about doing it. What all comes in the kit?

it's easy to install leds in knee consoles shelfs, in dome lights, even put small leds in inside door handle. Seems too many passengers have a hard time finding the handle at night.
The dimmer switches can be found at many sellers of leds. found mine for $27. |
What do you guys think of the
Seem to be a lot of them here. |
