car won'r start II

This may sound silly but now that I think about it, it seems that the times that I've locked my doors which was twice (longer than a few minutes), when I went to unlock the doors, get in and start it, it wouldn't turn over. Is this my imagination or am i missing something? I've never had a starting issue before, other than the 2 times it left me stranded because I locked the door. I was prepared to buy an ignition coil but I'm not so sure now.

Has anyone ever heard of this or is this my imagination?

We have all done the "alarm dance" at one time or another with our beloved 928.
My downfall on my 83 was having a valet key on my ring. Sometimes I would lock it with one key and unlock it with the other and it would not start. It is a security feature. If you are faced with a no start that you think is related to the door locks you can exit the vehicle, lock the doors using the key, wait ten seconds, then using the same key unlock the doors and turn ignition.
This will solve your issues if they are key (security) related.

Does your alarm ever go off when you open the door? This was happening to me whenever I would lock it, my alarm would go off and I couldn't start it until it decided to let me. I bypassed my alarm and it works great! Just no alarm now..

I found it!!!! It was an anti-theft issue. I simply disconnected the battery, waited about 15 minutes and it fired right up! Drove it all day and no issues. I'll keep you guys posted!

Thanks for the advice!
