Driver Door

Hey guys, on a lighter note:

I'm going to deal with the semi-functional hinge in the driver's door handle. It is making me crazy(er).
I've gathered this is a PITA, based on a walk through on G. Suennen's website.
Does the replacement 928 537 063 04 on 928 intl. work on all model years?

Also, I was going to replace felt window guides while I'm in there. The movement gets a little choppy going up. Should I plan on ordering anything else ahead of time like rollers, slides, etc.?
And, I remember seeing a walk through posted for the guides but I can't remember where. Can someone point me to a link? Thanks, Dave.

if the action is choppy then it would be a good idea to remove the window motor and take it apart and clean and lube it,
also remove the window lift mechanism and oil the pivot you should also replace the 2 plastic window guides that ride the central rail.
the felt blocks are probably OK.

Put a piece of blue tape over the outside door handle to hold it in place when you remove the inside latch mechanism, it makes it easier to install the new latch.
