Thanks for all your help. I have cold air!!!

I feel it was the coil relay that's located in the controller. I switched out the controller and now it works. I am going to take the old and do the relay change out. It does not look too difficult. Another learning experience.

Thanks again. Mike P

A/C Clutch Relay -

Hey Mpierick - While you're working on the A/C control circuit you might consider adding a larger relay to actually apply the current to the A/C compressor clutch coil. Many 928 owners have connected the control coil of a fog light relay to the wire that originally came from the Heater-A/C controller. Then tapped a new fused power lead from the jumper post (inside of the passenger side fender well) and connected it through the new relay's main contacts directly to the clutch coil. The small relay mounted in the controller energizes the fog light relay which now supplies +12 to the A/C clutch. The added Fog Light Relay is usually mounted or zip tied to the wiring harness near the jumper post.

The main reason for the modification is because the small relay inside the controller is known to be a weak spot on the 928.

Good Luck, Michael

I took the bad controller and replaced the relay. Not a hard project to do. Now I have an extra controller, just in case my other one goes bad.

Thanks all.
