(Sorry it says 84 in the topic, it's an 83!)
Hello all, Been googling a fair bit before posting this since I didn't want to bother people with something obvious, but I'll be damned if I cannot determine this for sure: does an 83 S Euro have the "green wire" or not? Also, dependent or independent on the above, my tach has quit working entirely; for some time it would fire up after 10-15 minutes of driving and work fine. Printed circuit foil for sure, or are there simpler things to check before pulling out the gauge pod? Thanks in advance!

83 euro is a M28/ 11 or 12 engine, K-Jetronic. One distributor - green wire' comes off rear of distributor as you look at it from the front, across the bar to the Bosch control box under the 14 pin and jump post on the left side.

the 83 does have a green wire
The pod/tach issue is probably the pins on the back of the tach unit not making good contact, not the push on wire connectors, but they could also be cleaned with a pink eraser
