Emissions
I went to the smog station and was advised my emissions were good but timing was off. I got it adjusted to 20 degrees before tdc at 3000. I went back for the retest and now I'm over on emissions. Max was 1097 and I'm at 1132.
Suggestions anyone? It's a 1983 928s 5 speed. |

Right at the edge of NOX. But what was the timing before when you passed?
and the before CO, HC, NOX and after CO, HC, NOX may just need to tweak timing or buy a Catalytic.

Probably around 10-15 judging by the angle of the distributor. The cat is relatively new about 6 years give or take.

If that is on the NOX, and it was that close, run your tank almost dry, put 5 gallons of e85 in and go to emissions station

As far as tweaking the timing it's all dialed in there was a hash mark on the distributor that lined up to another on the block. 20 degrees spot on.
I could try the e85 route. I'm at a quarter tank |

Was playing with the distributor while engine running. Got a jolt just by touching the wires. Time to replace the cap rotor and wires I guess.
