Can't please everybody.

A casual review of history is just enough knowledge to be dangerous.

I believe many were forced to join the Party back then or suffer the consequences. This subject better left to some political area not here. This is about cars, motors, repairs, fixing......and discussing our Porsche 928's.

Clicked the link, too much to read and not many pictures, I moved on. ;)

Ferdinand made some good tank designs, I'm not even mad.
|
The King Tiger was one of the best, His namesake the Ferdinand was too heavy for Russian mud.
He also designed aircraft in WW1. That news item highlights how stupid /politically correct some people are. Would they ban Volkswagens from entering their town? The company was set up by mister A. Hitler? Would they ban companies like Bayer, BASF, Agfa, Hoechst? Once part of the I.G.Farben group (MAJOR war criminal organisation. Made gas for concentration camps.) Where do they stop? Too Silly! Perhaps ban Ford cars, Old Henry early on, was rumoured to be one of the major financial backers of Hitler. Close inspection reveals a truckload of people/companies, a lot in the USA as well that had more than just their toes in the water. Google Prescott Bush , Georges dad, George number two's grandfather. look at how he established the family fortune. You have to hold your nose when you google Joe(John F's dad) Kennedy as well. |
I venture to guess if he had not "gone along" he would have been shot dead and we would have never heard of Porsche today. Not saying what he did was right...but until you have walked in his shoes its hard to say what any of us would have done.
