Won't start

I have a 1983 928. It will start cold no problem, but after running and driving it won't start up again after a stop. I have to let it cool down again before I can start it up again. It's not a battery problem. Not sure if a electrical, alarm, or injector problem. Any thoughts. Thx

The 83 had L -jetronic. No fuel accumulator. It has a computer to set mixture. There are a variety of possible faults that will cause this. From the WSM. for no start or poor start.

AFC relay defective
Fuel pump not running
Temp time switch defective
Aux air regulator won't open
Intake air sensor defective
Pump relay defective
leak in intake system
fuel injectors defective
fuel pressure too low
Temp sensor II defective
control unit defective

Since it starts cold I assume the cold start valve is working. I would tackle fuel pressure tests first when warm. If it is low it could be the pump, one or both regulators or the fuel damper. Good luck.
