car died. will not start.
So i just bought a 928 yesterday. I was driving it back and decided i needed to clean the windshield because it sat out side for a while and I could not see. It was running great. I had no problems at all with it besides it has a slight miss fire. I pull in to a gas station and decided to fill it with gas while I was there. I may have over filled it a little bit but I wouldn't think that would cause it to not start. But any ways i went to go and start it again and nothing.... no light.. nothing. I figured it was the battery and the battery was bad so I replaced it. And still nothing. I tried looking at the fuses and i couldn't really see them too well because it was kinda dark outside. there is also a button on the dash underneath the light switch that i have no idea does what. while i was driving it back i pressed it to see what it did and it didn't do anything. Figured it was broken. Upon further investigation there seems to be a thing called an immobilizer that when you press it it immobilizes the car? Is that on only certain models or is that on all of them? forgive me. I have never really worked on a European sports car before. Delt with mostly american muscles. any help and information on this car would be greatly appreciated.

Check the ground strap from battery to body wing nut in trunk area. Ground straps have a tendency to open inside the crimped wing nut end. Mine did the same thing, had to replace the braided ground strap.
As mentioned, post your year and model, not all 928's are the same.

If its an S4...may be an ignition switch. But check strap first.

Immobilizer is what alarms are called in Europe/UK, there are factory ones and aftermarket, some cars have both or worse both and remains of some half removed alarm.
Remote diagnosis requires information; Model year, US or Euro. Starting issues, does it crank normally? Does it almost start, then fail or never fires? Last or most recent repairs. Rough idea of your location may result in offers of local help or suggestions on place for repair.
