trans cooler
I have a radiator from a manual trans in the 84 auto now just while i'm working on it - so there is no trans cooler at all it it - so I was looking for an auto trans radiator when I ran across this on ebay
does anyone have this installed in their car - does it work as good as the in the radiator one - where does it mount - this would save me some $ as I wouldn't have to replace the whole radiator - thanks

I have both on the Stepson ('84 Euro AT). Radiator cooler and external cooler. I also run Dexron 6 which is synthetic.

hey stepson - did the car come with this cooler or did you add it - where is it mounted - do you suppose it would be enough to keep trans from overheating by itself or should I just bite the bullet and get an auto radiator - they are so expensive - I've also been looking at a Mercedes SL radiator - looks like similar trans ports - made for a V-8 - made by behr - and about $350 new - I would have to play with the mounts and trans lines though - thanks

Mine came with it. I always heard that heat kills transmissions. You would probably build a lot of heat in the mountains around Denver. I would want as much cooling as possible.
If you need a radiator with a cooler, I have a couple extra. I can send you pics and you can pick which one you want. Probably about $225 delivered.

Forgot to answer the mounting question. It's mounted in front of the condensor coils down in front on the big cross piece behind the grill.
