New to the 928 crew
Hey gang, I just recently picked up my first Porsche. I've been a car guy for a while, mostly Audi's (2Urq,s, 90q20v, S4Avant, Allroad, A3q, and more). After a failed restoration on an Alfa GTV over the past few years, I decided I still wanted a GT car but something a bit more modern (useable), while still being distinct. The 928 was high on the list along with BMW 850, 240z, M3, and a few others.
I'd been poking around for about 2months when this car came up for sale relatively locally. I decided to test drive the model before committing to a serious search. I drove it, I loved it, I bought it. And, I could not be more satisfied. Actually, I'm quite giddy. So here is a little about the car. It's a 1988 928 S4 5-spd. It's Venice Blue with Cobalt Blue interior. Special options include the LSD rear, power/heated seats, dual AC. This car has 146K on the clock an appears to have spent some time on the track. It came with a bolt in roll cage (now removed) and Gurney Flap rear spoiller (now removed with a stock wing), SS brake lines, heavy duty radiator/oil cooler, and GT cams and some track wheels (which have been removed and will be for sale). Koni's and Momo wheel and shifter. I also think the car spent some time at a 90's rave party because it also has blue dash lights, shinny aluminum bezels on all the dials, and gauges! The long and the short of it, is the car runs, drives, and stops great. Currently, everything works! i had it checkout out and looks like I in need a of a timing belt in spring - it's only got 10K miles on the belt but that was done in 2010 and is showing age. Here are some pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks good, Michael.
The DFW group meets every 1st Saturday for breakfast,(except for this month which is somebody's brilliant idea to go to the Plano Cars & Coffee) Never the less, the November breakfast will still be held for the folks still in town, but the vast majority of active DFW owners will be in Marble Falls for the Third Coast event. I highly recommend attending Third Coast if you can make it. It's the most fun you can have with your car and your clothes on. Third Coast 2015...For Planning Purposes - Rennlist Discussion Forums

Thanks guys. I live in Portland Oregon so making it to the DFW event is unlikely for me. Hopefully I can find an event near me.
Since I bought the first car I drove, I have no idea what other cars drive like, sound like, shift like, etc. I looking forward to checking out others rides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

LOL. Just drive it on down some Saturday morning. We'll give you an award for driving the farthest for breakfast.
Honestly, I read your heading the first time as new to the DFW crew. LOL. Nice looking car. I hope to see it in person someday.
