While I had the pod out. I tried plugging in LED lights. No play. They mentioned the power draw might be too low on these lights and therefore no light would be the result.

I then got back to the column. The bushing is being a PITA to get in. Taking a break before I screw up a special order part.

Will be trying this approach:
Getting a small length of pipe some large washers and use the 27mm nut on the end of the shaft to press the bushing into place.

I got a 1" long piece of 1" diameter pipe (5/8 looked like it would have done the job). Using the 27 mm nut on the shaft I pressed the bushing far enough to be retained by the c clip. Now I just have to piece this sucker back together. Before assembly I gave every piece a healthy dose of lithium grease.

Steering is much better. I need to make an adjustment in the horn ring contact. It's not touching the horn ring.
Unfortunately I went to get the car smogged and had a fail
