I'm glad I stopped daily driving it
When I bought my 928, the plan was to daily drive it and I did. Here's the thread when I first bought it:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-928-technical-forum/631293-i-found-928-a.html I put about 40k mi on it a couple of years. It was great but one day it hit me, this car is too nice to be abused with daily driving. Fast forward a few years later, I'm glad I stopped driving it. Yesterday I took the car out, gave it a wash, and found a new appreciation for the car. I love it!! Here are a few pics I snapped: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

lol Thanks. After the 928, I daily'd a TJ Jeep. It was fun but I was missing that rare, hand-built, German feel. So this is my current daily:

Daily Driver -
Hey Gmendo - Very nice stable of vehicles - the 928 fits right in. My problem would be deciding which one of those Thoroughbreds to take out ..... What a nice problem to have. Clearly Rancho Cucamonga has way too many fine automobiles stashed back in their garages

Bought this car in 1994. She's a GEM. I put 80K until I decided what you did, and I'm glad. This is one of me prize ones and I do miss driving it. It's very original and it got some awesome modifications. Wrong color, but the interior is BLACK.

Yes, it is hard to put unnecessary miles on such a fine car.
Quite the stable of vehicles you have there. Brian. |

Got a couple oddballs there - very cool! Your GTS is gorgeous. Is the red one a turbo or 491?
I dig the fact that the daily driver is a VR6 Corrado. (Edit - thought I saw 4 lug wheels - just looked at the badge) Last edited by Flynt; 03-29-2016 at 02:02 PM.. |

Thanks guys!
@Alfasrule I've always liked those Alfas. Anymore pics? Quote:
Thanks. I am a sucker for rare cars. lol The red one is a 1980 Turbo, the 928 is actually a S4.

I dunno... The inventor of the Polaroid camera--Edwin Land--was fond of saying that anything worth doing was worth doing to excess and I must say I think he was right. At least when it comes to driving a 928. And a couple of other things.

BTW your S4 looks great I like the way you did the wheels ![]() What is wrong with the color looks fantastic. A friend of mine had one in red over black way back in college and it was a fantastic ride. A few tweeks and it was an amazing handling car. Unfortunately it ended in disaster and he wrapped it around a tree.
