Well before you buy another, take it out and see if you can operate the switches and do a continuity test with an ohm meter. The backup switch looked like it is normally open, the other normally closed. I think that switch is pretty expensive. I never had mine out, but it was replaced by the previous owner at a shop. Looked like maybe 2 bolts holding it in place. I would say when you remove it, place the gear shifter in Park and note the position of the switch when removed. Always good to take a few pictures. Good luck! Also looks like two different versions of the switch, one with all the gear shift indicator switch points. 9 pins vs 4 pins.

One more thing. In looking at the Rennlist I sent you before, there are two pictures of the switches. One has only 4 pins, the other, 9 pins. I am guessing the 4 larger pins are the switch pins, the other 5 on the perimeter I am guessing are for your gear shift light indicators.

The Neutral safety switch is actually very easy to replace. Takes about 30 minutes working off your back.
