Installing Gas cup and gas cover 993
Hi, I have been looking for workshop manuals for my new 993 project. If anyone knows of where to get one let me know. I bought one from Pelican thinking it would work but it came yesterday and is not what I need. it is basically an overview book.
I am trying to install my gas cover and the cup that comes with it. If anyone has done this I would appreciate a turn in the right direction. I know on the 997 this was a tall task and probably the most difficult thing to do. I broke those pieces twice and had to buy them twice. ouch. So I figured I would ask before breaking something else. Thanks. |

Maybe more details/backstory would be helpful. Can't say I have ever seen "how to" on the gas filler/cap/door assembly. The door is obvious (just bolts), I took mine off to wrap it. #8/13 has to be done from inside the fender. This is not a common mechanical service and the Bentley 993 book only has rudimentary procedure for the full fender removal where the the fuel door and tray (8/13) is referenced. Would expect the same from Haynes, but also expect it is similar for 993, 964, older 911s. My guess it is installed on the fender (from inside) off the car. A body shop that does 993's would know. Again more details and current photos would help.

Thanks Kein, this is a project. New fender. Just got the cup with cap and some hoses. Trying to put the car back together. Looks like the gas cup goes under the fender. May see if I can get some pics from the club members cars. Thanks.
