1996 993 turbo locking issue
 

My car is a 1996 TT. After taking it for service, the car has not been able to lock with the key fob. I hear that it tries and then a beep sounds as if something is still open. I have checked hood, trunk, doors, etc. all seems ok. from inside if I press the lock button in the console, all works fine.

I don't know how to troubleshoot it. I read the manual an it states that when someone opens is with a key, it may create a problem. I just don't know how to reset it.

I follow the instructions that if I press the key fob 6 times the car locks and it does but once I unlock it, it goes back to not locking.

HELP!!!

A common issue is the battery going dead in the fob. I didn't see that you changed the battery. Maybe that will help. I believe Pelican has a article in the "how to" articles.

Probably batt on beeper, or you might have an issue with the inmobilizer.
