993 headers w/o cats

I am putting a 993 engine into a 74 body. There is not going to be any cats, but we want to preserve the heat exchanger function for the chassis. The muffler is whatever it needs to be including some customization. A 991 GT3 muffler was slated for this one.

What are my header choices?

Why not use the stock system minus cat? They were a big improvement over the 964 and earlier system.

Keep an eye on heat shielding around the plug wires depending on what headers you end up with.

Limited options with heat exchangers I suspect, went w/o them on my track build w/ GT3 muffler.

I have some stock 993 headers if you need some.

I see you live in CA, I’d be careful with removing the cat as you may not get past smog.

I've used oe 993 and custom 1/75" headers, on stock 3.6, moded 3.6 and moded 3.8, no difference on the dyno or seat of the pants

once a muffler is installed and especially w/ smog cams a well designed custom header makes little to no difference

I think Fabspeed makes headers for the 993 either with or without heat.
