Left front rocker oil water mix

Hey all

I recently updated my rocker seals. Under the front left driver side rocker panel there’s an oil water mix. I clean the car left it overnight and there was about a quarter size area of this clear oily fluid. Any ideas? Is it is something as stupid as some water mixed with some past hydraulic fluid?

Thanks!

The oil lines connecting the coolers in the front bumper to the engine in the back run along the rockers. You may have a leaking hose and should inspect it. Typically though I see the leaks in the passenger side just in front of the rear wheel not at the front. If the hose is covered in oil it’s likely leaking. Fairly common issue, especially as these cars are 30+ years old

When I first got my car 8 years ago there was drips of oil at the left front . It still had the original shocks on it.The oil pumped out of the shock. New shocks cured that. Does the cars AC work? I ask because there is an oil in the AC system and if you got a leak in that system you could get oil dripping ip there. I’d pull the fender liners and see what’s up. My bet is AC fittings at the dryer

If you’re losing lubricant from the AC I would recommend not running the compressor except to test it, running it for any length can result in damage if the lube is gone.

Also note that the brake fluid overflow drains at the front right just behind the drivers side wheel so it could also be that.

Very true forgot about that one. Has the op had any brake work?
