964 C4

Whats the good and the bad about a C4 vs C2.

Considering selling my 87 for a 90 C4 and I know some of the 'issues' with oil leaks, wiring harnesses but how much of a difference is the C4 beast? Obviously heavier...any other imput?

Thanks
Mark

I own a C4, and I hate the AWD. But this is opinion and it depends on what you do with the car that will effect that opinion. Personaly, I love to drag-race, turn hard, and when there are females around, an occasional smoke show...ha. With the C4, you can't launch it or rip a shot unless you have VERY deep pockets because you will break things. The C4 has more understeer than a C2 as well which can be dialed out to a certain extent, but not eliminated. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought a C2. But one thing I will say for the C4, it is best of ANY sports car in the snow.

I owned a 92 C4 Coupe for several years. I loved the traction in snow and rain but hated the understeer in the dry. The car is really underated as a all weather driver. The traction is uncanny in bad weather. I loved the 3.6 motor compared to my earlier 3.0 but the lack of brake feel and steering feel are bummers. Sorry for being wishy washy but thats how I felt about the 964 C4.
